A website devoted to the internet dabblings of Joe Ramos. Unlike most websites, this website was not created for the entertainment of my userbase, but as a means to shatter boredom and kill any possible productivity that may occur during paid work hours.
One of my hobbies and greatest passions is reef aquariums -- a miniature ecosystem containing thousands of living organisms, housing anything from various types of invertebrates, corals, and fish. One thing I also love doing is showing off pictures of what took me four years to create. Here are just a few of the photographs I have taken of the different livestock in my aquarium.
This launch has probably been the sixth time this website has been redesigned, redeveloped, and relaunched since it was initially launched in September of 2003. I honestly don't exactly know what version it is, but let's start fresh and assume this is version 1.0. Why version 1.0? Every version of this website I have launched has been, for the most part, incomplete. After each version has been launched, I discover areas of the website which I'm not particularly fond of, are difficult to update, or not possible due to the content management solution I was working with at the time. So, I took a huge step back and hired a good friend of mine, Parker, over at LOL Attack to redesign kingtoad.net. The design process was a long and tiring one, but eventually, came a design that I really enjoyed that fit my customization requirements as well as my needs for simplicity.
